OUR BIG VALUES
Our Values are summed up in the word BIG
We serve a BIG GOD who has BIG plans for our lives and who is building BIG people.
The Word BIG is an acronym for our overarching values.
'B'
BELIEVE
We believe what the Bible teaches about God, life and Salvation. We recognise that what a person believes determines the kind of relationship that they have with God; other people; their eternal destiny and the quality of their life on earth.
Therefore, at Real Life Church we encourage the presentation of the Truth of the Bible and we encourage healthy thinking.
'I'
INCREASE
We understand, from the Bible, that God’s will is for people to be ever increasing in their knowledge and experience of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, at Real Life Church we emphasise the work and ministry of Jesus Christ. We also emphasise Christian Growth.
'G'
GIVE
We understand that generosity is an attribute of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, we highly value a spirit of generosity among the members of Real Life Church. We are determined to reflect Jesus by being generous with love, kindness, mercy, acts of service and our finances.
Our BIG purpose is based upon two key Scriptures:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
MATTHEW 22:36-40 NIV.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
